Fees and Billing
Patients who hold a valid Medicare Card are bulk billed, with no out-of-pocket cost for standard consultations. The information below outlines the fees that apply when a service is not covered by Medicare.
Before your appointment
- Please ensure that you bring all applicable and current Medicare, Pension, Health Care, Seniors and Veteran Affairs cards to each consultation.
- Patients who hold a valid Medicare Card at the time of consultation will be bulk billed, and no private/out-of-pocket fees will be charged.
- Patients who are not registered with Medicare will be charged a private consultation fee on the day of service, which is payable on the day.
- Newborns who are not yet registered with Medicare will have their consultation bulk-billing fee placed on hold until a Medicare Card is provided — we may contact you to obtain these details at a later date.
- WorkCover and TAC consultations without a valid claim number will incur a fee, payable on the day of consultation, until a claim number is provided. Once a claim number is provided, charges will be forwarded to the relevant insurer/parties for payment.
- Medical Reports, Taxi Forms, Insurance, Pre-Employment Medicals and Treating Doctors Reports are not covered by Medicare billing guidelines. Patients will be charged for these services, payable on the day, and no rebate can be claimed through Medicare.

Please note that extra services such as Wound Repair, ECGs and other procedures will incur an extra charge, payable on the day of service.
